PubChem

PubChem is an open chemistry database at the National Institutes of Health (NIH). It aims to be the world’s largest collection of freely accessible chemical information.

PubChem facilitates the search of chemicals by name, molecular formula, structure, and other identifiers. It provides information onchemical and physical properties, biological activities, safety and toxicity information, patents, literature citations and more.

PubChem mostly contains small molecules, but also larger molecules such as nucleotides, carbohydrates, lipids, peptides, and chemically-modified macromolecules. PubChem collects information on chemical structures, identifiers, chemical and physical properties, biological activities, patents, health, safety, toxicity data.

Metabolights

MetaboLights (http://www.ebi.ac.uk/metabolights) is a general-purpose, open-access repository for metabolomics studies, their raw experimental data and associated metadata, maintained by one of the major open-access data providers in molecular biology.

MetaboLights is a database for Metabolomics experiments and derived information. The database is cross-species, cross-technique and covers metabolite structures and their reference spectra as well as their biological roles, locations and concentrations, and experimental data from metabolic experiments. MetaboLights is the recommended Metabolomics repository for a number of leading journals. (Source: MetaboLights website).

Leiden University DMP template

All Leiden University researchers are required to complete a DMP (Data Management Plan). This template can be used by all Leiden researchers to prepare a DMP and it is accepted by most research funders, including the Dutch funders NWO and ZonMw, and the European Union. Leiden researchers can also freely register for the workshop “How to write a DMP” which is run approximately every six weeks.

OpenICPSR

A service of the Inter-university Consortium for Political and Social Research (ICPSR), openICPSR is a self-publishing repository for social, behavioral, and health sciences research data. openICPSR is particularly well-suited for the deposit of replication data sets for researchers who need to publish their raw data associated with a journal article so that other researchers can replicate their findings. Open Science Framework

OSF is a free and open source project management tool that supports researchers throughout their entire project lifecycle. It not only allows sharing documents with collaborators, but also allows uploading data, preregistrations and preprints for each project.

Microsoft Teams

A collaborative environment with all kinds of communication options such as chat and (video) telephony. The solution is ideal for creating and sharing documents with a team.

Microsoft OneDrive

A personal cloud storage service to securely store, synchronise and share files. Cloud storage alternative to the Leiden University P: drive.

Leiden University ResearchDrive

A working group cloud storage service to securely store, synchronise and share files from various external file systems, such as local file servers, SURFdrive, Dropbox, and Google Drive, whilst accessing the total environment from one common workspace.
